About CCPIA
Brief History
Founded in April, 1982, China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA) was one of the earliest trade associations in Chinese chemical field. It is a non-profit national institution covering different regions,organizations/departments and industries, and possesses independent legal person status.
In the course of the more than two decades period since its establishment, CCPIA has undergone rapid development, witnessing its members increased from the originally 45 to 445 at present, covering producers/ enterprises , R & D and design institutions, universities and colleges, provincial/municipal pesticide associations related with technicals and formulations, intermediates, auxiliaries, packing materials, packing equipments and applying machines, etc. CCPIA members production values account for 85% of the national total pesticide production.

Objectives
To Provide services for the government, the agrochemical industry, and the agro-chemical companies in the form of a bridge between the government and the industry for the sustainable and healthy development of agrochemical industry.Abiding by the principle of focusing on science & technology development and HSE, endeavour to the sustainable development of a harmonious society and good ecological environment.
Responsibilities and Functions
Assist the government in management of pesticide;
Popularize relevant laws and regulations, coordinate the operation of enterprises;
Enhance intellectual property right protection to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members;
Promote self-discipline in the industry, rectify behaviors of members, encourage honest operation, mediate market conflicts,and maintain fair competition;
Organize trainings of personnel, technology, management, laws/regulations and professional skills;
Publish journals such as China Pesticide and China Pesticide Industry Yearbook, maintain the website of pesticide industry(www.ccpia.org.cn), and provide consultancy services;
Organize national symposiums and exhibitions(See www.Agrochemex.net);
CCPIA is devoted to promote Responsible Care with Environment, Health and Safety as core principle to establish good enterprise image. CCPIA established two China Pesticide Industry Gardens with cooperation of Rudong, Jiangsu and Weifang, Shandong to accheive those objectives.
